SVV Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

1. Data Processed by the App

SVV (the “App”) measures and records subjective visual vertical measurement results.

The App may process and save the measurement date, an identifier entered by the user, displayed line angles, device orientation or tilt values, calculated SVV values, and summary statistics.

The identifier is entered voluntarily by the user. Users should avoid entering personally identifiable or sensitive information unless it is necessary for their intended use.

The App also stores user-selected settings on the device. The App does not require account registration and does not collect names, email addresses, location information, contacts, photographs, audio, or advertising identifiers.

2. Storage and Retention

Measurement data and App settings are stored locally in the App’s private storage on the user’s Android device. The developer does not operate a server that receives or stores this data.

Depending on the device and the user’s Android backup settings, App data may be backed up or transferred by Android or the user’s device provider. Such backups are controlled by the user, Google, or the device provider and are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Locally stored measurement data remains on the device until the user deletes it through the App, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls the App. Data contained in an external backup may remain until that backup is deleted according to the applicable backup service.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not automatically transmit measurement data to the developer or third parties.

When the user explicitly selects the sharing function, the App passes the displayed measurement data to an email app or another compatible app selected by the user through Android’s sharing interface. The user controls whether the data is shared and selects the recipient or service.

After the data is shared, its handling is governed by the privacy policy of the selected recipient, email provider, or other service.

4. Advertising and Analytics

The App does not contain advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking technologies.

5. Data Deletion

The user can delete all saved measurement data by opening the saved-data list in the App and selecting the erase function.

The user can also delete locally stored App data through Android Settings or by uninstalling the App. Data already shared with another app, recipient, or service must be deleted through that recipient or service.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App’s features or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated revision date.
